Liz went from "getting" fishy kisses to "giving" fishy kisses. Aren't you all jealous?!?! I'm amazed she can suck all that cheek in. Lizzy has been blessed with cheeks, and it also proves challenging at times. There is just not much room in that mouth of hers. She bites her cheeks often--she'll be eating happily and then just start crying and say, "I bite teek." Poor thing. I am always squishing that girl...

Dinner Conversation
Faye and Daisy's converstation at dinner last night:
Faye: "I'm very strong. I can lift Sydney (neighbor), and I can lift Lala, and I can lift Katie, and I can lift you, Dais, and I can lift Lizzy, and I can lift Rylin (another neighbor)!"
(After a moment of thoughtful silence)...
Daisy: "I can lift my leg!!" ...and she demonstrates by holding her leg up with her hands.

Birthday Boy
Yesterday was B's birthday. The girls and I threw him a surprise birthday party when he got home at 11:00am, from his 30-hours on-call at the hospital. We had posters, streamers, homemade balloons, cakes, and presents. When he walked in the door, we were hiding so we could jump out and yell, "Surprise!" He was SO surprised! :):) Then after eating cake, Daddy went and took a 6-hour nap. It was such tourture for the girls. Faye cleaned all the toys, picked up books, mopped the kitchen and the bathroom, made beds, washed our back window, and then Mommy ran out of things to entertain her, so we went outside and ate peaches on a blanket, playing "I Spy." Finally, after 6pm, Daddy woke up. We ate his birthday dinner (and more cake), then the girls played with B until bedtime. This morning Faye was cuddling with me and said, "(sigh)...I wish today was Daddy's birthday again."
Here's to the Daddy who can "wesso" (wrestle) and cuddle with his girls at the same time...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, B!!
Family Event
I went outside this evening, where everyone was hanging out, and asked, "What's going on out here?" Daisy was the one who replied, "There's a little dog, climbing."
It's kind of hard to see all my "little dogs" with the shadows, but this tree is giving some amazing entertainment...

Peaches!!
Peaches?...Anyone? For a limited time, we are offering FREE, FRESH peaches. All you have to do is drive to Lubbock, TX, and visit us. They are large, juicy, sweet, and did I mention strait from the tree!!
So I really like peaches and have been in heaven the last week and a half. Peaches make me happy, and I've decided I must have a peach tree whenever we buy a home. I am even saving peach pits in the freezer, just for such an occasion. :)
Here we are with our daily dose of peaches. This actually would probably last two days. :):) The camera lady (Faye) told us to hold up our "fumbs." Lizzy tried really hard, but her thumb kept getting caught between her fingers..
and some homemade peach pie (my first one, ever)...

It's about Time
I finally decided to update our family photo's (at least for the kids) on our blog. Lizzy was 10 months in the old one and now she's 2 1/2!! Time flies, and I frantically am always running to catch up--which, I'm sure, many of you also are doing. It sure is fun being a mom... and realizing the more time and energy I put in to being a mother just means the more blessings that come back to me--whether it's slobbery kisses, Faye doing the dishes for me, Daisy writing notes to me, or my amazing hubby who works so hard so I get to stay home and play instead of havening to work. There are many blessings in my life, but enough trials to make grateful. :):)

7 Years!!
B and I have been married 7 years, today!! And he is on-call up at the hospital all day and all night. Oh, well--it just means next year we will be able to have a better anniversary than this year (hopefully), especially if I will actually get to "see" my husband...:):)
Brian is pretty amazing and I am so thankful to have him. He's always so on-top of things, prioritized, and prepared for life, especially when it comes to serving in the gospel. Our girls absolutely LOVE him, especially when he comes home. If they see him pull up in the drive-way, they start screaming and running histerically around the house (and into walls...and into each other)--they just can't contain their excitement. It seems to be the highlight of their day, and mine...

B made me this turtle stool for our anniversary. He gave it to me yesterday, since he is on call today. I sorta have a "thing" for turtles. Lizzy's been hauling it around kissing it and talking baby-talk to it all day. So Fun!!
