Rigby Lake

Rigby Lake is about 15 miles from my home. It's a small lake that is perfect for little kids. Lana & I brought our families to play and get wet in the cold water of Idaho.

Emry, Faye, and Daisy:

Liz and Daisy aren't quite use to the lower temperatures of Idaho, and they spent a while wrapped up in towels trying to keep warm:

Lana and I swam our kids out to a floating dock that was loose out in the lake. We played on it for a while, jumping off it & trying to kick together to make it move. It's always fun being a little kid again:).

Folk Dance Festival

This last week we went to the Opening Ceremonies of the Folk Dance Festival in Rexburg, ID. It's an annual event where they invite dancers from all over the world to come and perform. I remember participating in it when I was a kid, so it was fun to share it with my kids.

All the crazy kids dancing to the music. Aros & Lana were involved with the Festival this year, so we helped watch their kiddos during the event. It was a lot of fun, although it was tricky trying to keep track of 6 kids:

I caught Ty kicking my daughter:). He was actually helping her complete her somer-sault, and she absolutely loved Ty's help. She didn't want him to stop:

6 Years!!

Today, B and I have been married for 6 wonderful years. I have learned so much from that Payne of mine. He has helped me be a better person, and I look forward to being with him for all time and eternity. I love you, Hun--Happy Anniversary!!

Popcicles

We've done a lot of fun things since we've been in Idaho, but one of my favorite things to do is to play and have fun in the yard. Grandma loves giving her grandkids lots of goodies (I think all grandma's do), and here they all are eating--and wearing--them in the back yard...

Papa Woodbury has gotten Liz to say "I'm cute" (not on video, though) and Grandma got Liz to say "Bubba"...

The Sand-dunes

Em and I relaxing in the shade at the sand dunes. She's an awesome friend, and we go way back (like Kindergarten:). It was sure fun to see her again. Good luck teaching 1st Grade, Em!

Emry, Faye, and Daisy getting nice and sandy. That stuff sure is hard to wash out of hair, but they had fun playing in it. They made sand-angels, although my girls don't even know what snow-angels are, so they didn't quite grasp the concept:). It was a lot of fun.

Feeding the Ducks

Rexburg has a fun nature park, that has a whole bunch of ducks. We took a couple of loaves of bread to feed the ducks, and that bread sure went fast. Lizzy ambitiously ran for the ducks with a piece of bread (probably thinking it was a snack for herself). It took about 10 seconds for the ducks to push her back, knock her down, and take the piece of bread from her hands.
Faye (aka: Mini-mom) brought the distressed baby to Grandma...

Who then taught Lizzy how to brake pieces off for the ducks and, more importantly, how to stay out-of-reach. Alea was scared of the ducks, as well:).

Faye loved every second of feeding the ducks, and she also had a little extra confidence when I let her hold one of the bags with a loaf of bread in it.

Story Time in Rexburg

I went to Library Story Time with Lana and her kids. The theme was fire engines & fire fighters. This is Daisy, Liz, and I in front of a fire truck:

I Love to See the Temple

For FHE on Monday, we went as a big group to see the beautiful Rexburg Temple. It is so neat to have a Temple so close to home. I love the blessings that come from the Temple, even just being on the temple grounds...

We all loved being able to "walk" around the temple grounds. Jett did a nice belly-flop at the bottom of the grassy hill. Emry & Faye loved racing each other up the stairs. Daisy loved exploring. And Lizzy & Alea loved being independant. What a good-lookin' group of kids.

The Macky clan (Aros, Lana, Jett(8), Emry(6), and Alea(2):). It sure has been fun having our kids play together. They are a fun, fun family.

Motorcycles, Sand-rails, and Daisy

Once in Idaho, we stopped at the Mackey's for some dinner & some fun. Daisy found Uncle Aros' sand-rail, and stayed in the driver's seat for at least 30 minutes. I wonder what she was thinking...

As Daisy sat in the sand-rail, it reminded me of another photo taken not too long ago at Grandma & Papa Payne's home:

Nice Landing

Flying with a 4, 3, and 1-year old was not as bad as I thought. It got a little rough a couple times, but nothing like the horror-stories I heard about. It even got better. Once in SLC, Devin was waiting right at the gate to help me out to the car. She drove me to her beautiful home, where Jared & Devin had put together a party for my girls--with balloons, pizza, cake, and all the attention my girls could dream of:). This is a photo of Jared, Faye, and Daisy with the cake-I think they know my girls very well...(pink for Faye, green for Daisy).
