Homeschool

So I do "school" each day with my girls (it's a trial period to see if I can actually handle being a homeschool mom). One morning I walked into the family room, and all my girls were sitting on the couches, ready for school with their school books. Faye was reading her new favorite (Beatrix Potter, Miss Tiggywinkle) to Lizzy,
and Daisy was on the other couch reading her own book. Notice there is a Thomas the Train in the picture, like usual. Her T the T pj's were dirty, or else she would have them on, too.

Sleeping Babes

I love watching (& especially cuddling with) sleeping babies. They are so angelic and precious when they lie there quietly and sweetly...

Ok, so they're not actually sleeping in this one, but they're ready for bed in their pj's, and Lizzy actually held still long enought to let me braid her hair!! So they decided to be funny and pose for the camera to show off their braids...

Fishin With Papa

2 Months ago :), Papa took Faye & Daisy fishing with him, and they actually caught a fish!! How cool is that? My girls are better fishers than I am...

Match Day

We matched to Texas Tech in Lubbock. Brian will be doing his residency in Pediatrics. We're excited to start the next step in the looooooong journey...

Here we are in the Levin Hall building at UTMB-Galveston, waiting for the announcement of B's name, to see where we matched (we had a good idea, though:)...

Brian let Faye open his letter...

While visiting in Galveston, we stayed at Grandma & Papa Ferrin's home. It was sure fun to see friends from Galveston again...

We spent most of the Spring Break at the Cox's home. It was so nice to play & relax with them. It was good to see them again, and little Chloe is the cutest little (or is it big?:):) butter-ball. So CUTE!!! Of course, Lizzy couldn't get enough of "Bee-bee Toe-ee" just like the rest of us...

My Little Angels

There was so much static on the trampoline the other day. My camera doesn't do it justice, but I thought it was pretty funny. Now I have proof that each of my girls is a little angel with a halo (although I don't really need proof:)...

Valentine Baby

I meant to do this blog on February 14th, but at least it's still February:)...

Here's our Lizzy-Lu on her 2nd Birthday:

Liz + Cake...

Liz + Presents (Daisy could not keep her hands from "helping" Liz open her presents)...

And Liz in reveiw of this last year...

Happy Birthday Elizabeth Val Payne-We love you!!

Weatherford Happenings

We're sick AGAIN!! For some strange reason, we've been having our fair share (plus some) of that little sick bug. There's been a lot of laundry, a lot of medication, and a lot of messy rooms lately. I guess I can look on the positive side of things: the Children't Ibuprofen won't expire, and I sure get A LOT of "tuddles" (cuddles:)...
This one was cute of all the girls wearing their aprons. (Lizzy's scrapes on her chin happened when Daisy accidently knocked the ping-pong table over on her--just if you were wondering:)...
The other day, I noticed that Daisy had chosen to wear purple beads. Normally she picks green or blue. I thought maybe some of Faye's habits may be finally showing through her sister. However, a little while later, Daisy came to me very upset, complaining that her "oww-eh-gado's tail is bwoken." She showed me her purple beads, and I said to myself, "Ah, ha!"...
...as you can see the purple beads have little alligators threaded throughout them. And she sleeps with those rubber snakes, by the way. She wanted to sleep with the alligators, but mean old mommy won't let her girls sleep with beads, even if they have alligators on them.
A couple weeks back, we had a cook-out in the back yard. Lizzy helped B dig the hole...

Payne Family Reunion

It has been over 6 years since the entire Payne clan was together at one time (due to missions, college, marriage, etc). So for over a year, Mom & Dad Payne have been planning this reunion, and every singe Payne was here, including Great Gr.ma & pa Payne (31 people in one house). While everyone was here, Mom decided to do a family dance. I tried to video Faye dancing, but as I watched the video later, I realized that this video pretty much sums up what it was like during the 2 weeks of the reunion: A lot of noise, a lot of chaos, never a clean room, and a whole lot of fun!!!

Christmas 2009

On Christmas Eve, we had a blizzard!! Can you believe it snowed in Texas?!? It was sure a lot of fun to be able to play in snow again, although it was pretty windy. Lizzy and Daisy weren't able to handle too much of it. Faye stayed out in the snow with Aunt Jessica until after it got dark, and they had so much fun in the stuff (thank you, Jessica).
It snowed so much, in fact that it actually stayed for 2 whole days, so we were able to wake up to a white Christmas...
For Christmas, I made the girls aprons with a little mouse in the pocket (I had one when I was a kid that Mom had made me). This is Liz showing me her fruit snack (and how cute she is):
Beautiful Faye in front of all their loot:
Rob & Wendy made our whole family amazing beanies in our favorite color!! They are so awesome!! Liz & Daisy wore their hats all morning, and Lizzy wants to wear hers every day, even to church. So I took your advice, Wendy, and just clipped a bow into her hat for Sunday. It was so cute.
